OUR PASTOR

PASTOR JUSTIN REED

SENIOR PASTOR

Pastor Justin Reed grew up in an independent baptist church where his father was the assistant pastor.  He began his personal relationship with His Saviour at the age of 5. At an early age, he felt the Lord calling him to full time ministry.

He studied youth ministries and music at West Coast Baptist College and graduated in 2012.

Pastor Justin has served as the youth pastor and music director at Bethel Baptist since 2011.

On February 16, 2013, he married the love of his life, Honey Reed. Honey has served in ministry for 10 years at Lancaster Baptist Church and now assists Pastor Justin at Bethel Baptist.

In 2016, Justin Reed assumed the pastorate.

VISITING BETHEL BAPTIST

Visiting any church, for the very first time can be a tough experience. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Bethel Baptist will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and "at home"! Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.

SERVICES

When are services?

Our main worship services are Sunday mornings at 11:00.

Sunday

10:00 AM - Classes for All Ages

11:00 AM - Morning Worship Services

6:00 PM - Evening Service

Wednesday

7:00 PM - Midweek Service and Teen Bible Study

WHAT TO EXPECT

You can't miss our campus at the intersection of Carson Street and Denker. The main entrance is on Denker, and you'll recognize it by the sign. Our parking attendants will help you find a place to park, and as you approach the main worship center, one of our hospitality greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer other questions you may have.

Most adults attend one worship service where they enjoy the beautiful and inspiring music of the choir. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Reed. This service is a little over one hour in length. Also, during the 10:00 hour, there are Bible classes for every age. These classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet people, enjoy perhaps some coffee and donuts, and hear a teaching lesson more directly applicable to your life-stage. The best way to get to know people at Bethel Baptist Church is to visit one of these Sunday School classes.

OUR PURPOSE

OUR PURPOSE

The purpose of the church is summed up in the commission Christ gave His disciples just before He ascended to Heaven: “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28:18–20).

This last command of Christ should be our highest priority; every facet of church activity should in some way relate to this, the purpose of the church. Acts 5:42 records that the Jerusalem church was indeed fulfilling this purpose: “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” This young church was constantly engaged in making the Gospel known to the world.
